🏛️ Congressional update:
The We the People Amendment (House Joint Resolution 54) continues to gain traction in the fight to end corporate constitutional rights and reduce the influence of big money in politics—but we’re not there yet. As of now, we have 59 cosponsors in the House, including new champions Reps. Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) and Teresa Leger-Fernandez (NM-03), which is a huge step forward.

But we need to keep pushing—our goal is to reach 100 cosponsors by the end of this congressional session. With roughly 30 previous cosponsors from the 118th Congress still not on board this session, we can’t afford to wait. This logistical delay is a simple issue to overcome—and you can help make it happen!
Now more than ever, it's critical for Congress to catch up with the will of the people. The stakes have never been higher, and we need to generate even more grassroots pressure to move the needle forward.
Here’s how you can help right now:
-
Check if your Representative is a cosponsor—if they are, thank them and ask them to encourage their colleagues to sign on.
-
If they’re not a cosponsor, use our One Click Politics tool to send an email or make a call urging them to support H.J.Res.54.
-
Call your Senators—we are also working to introduce a companion bill in the Senate, and we need your help to urge your Senators to take action and lead the charge.
It’s now time to make your voice heard!
📢 Community calendar:
With progress being made in Congress, we’re also focused on mobilizing communities across the country and building momentum for the We the People Amendment through grassroots actions. We invite you to check out the partnering events below and to join this wave of change.

👉July 27th, Washington D.C. (and Nationwide) - March for Integrity
On July 27, Move to Amend is proud to cosponsor the March for Integrity in Washington, D.C., alongside a coalition of organizations committed to ending the corrupt influence of money in politics.
This rally will highlight the urgent need to tackle both corporate constitutional rights and the overwhelming influence of money in our democracy.
While some groups are focus on only Ending Citizens United to get money in politics, Move to Amend addresses the root cause—corporate constitutional rights. The We the People Amendment (H.J. Res. 54) seeks to end corporate personhood, and the unconstitutional rights corporations currently wield, including their control over our elections and policies.

Join us for this powerful demonstration of people-powered democracy, as we demand a government that serves the people, not corporations.

👉 July 27th - Join or meet the Liberty Ride
The Liberty Ride motorcycle group is for those dedicated to creating a more perfect union, where the Constitution applies to all, regardless of where we or our ancestors were born, whom we love, the color of our skin, or how—or if—we worship. Since 2020, riders have been relaying the U.S. Constitution and key founding documents across the country, united by the belief that We the People means everyone.
This year’s ride will kick off in July 2025, and the route will span across multiple states, leading up to the grand culmination in Washington, D.C., on July 27th, 2025.
Riders from across the nation will carry copies of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights and the petition to support the We the People Amendment (HJR-54), reminding us of the principles on which this nation was founded: Equality, Liberty, and Justice for All.
The Liberty Ride is a powerful act of defiance against corporate greed and corruption, and a reaffirmation that democracy is for everyone—not just the powerful few. If you can’t ride but still want to help, you can join the movement in spirit by signing up here.
