The absurd Supreme Court adjudicated notions that a corporation is a person, and that money equals free speech are the root causes of our current dystopic reality.
In 2010, the same year the Supreme Court passed Citizens United, deciding the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act (BCRA) violated the first amendment right of corporations, thereby loosening restrictions on corporate spending which made it possible for Dark Money groups to ramp up their independent expenditures, spending in the 2010 election cycle, alone, grew by 196% up to $135.61 million.

We value you and your support more than you can know and hope that you will consider giving to the only anti-corruption campaign, working achieve the systemic change needed to create a real democracy by enacting the We the People Amendment.
Help keep our movement viable in 2025 and beyond. Every dollar that comes in will be match. An unfortunate reality is that we need to raise money to sustain this work, we are truly a grassroots organization that is do not except any corporate donation. We try to keep our fundraising to 2 times a year and spend the rest of our time building a powerful movement.
Unfortunately, we still have a way to go, and I'm worried we won't make it before the end of the year.
Your support is still needed for Move to Amend to end 2024 in the black and hit the ground running in 2025.

Move to Amend has never been disillusioned by what the results of the Citizen's United case on elections would be. We never have, and never will, stop working toward ending its corrupting effects. Together we can stop playing the defense and go after root causes to the problem.
