We hope this message finds you well. As we step into spring, we're thrilled to bring you the latest news and updates from Move to Amend. Let's dive in!
🏛️ Congressional Update: H.J.R. 54 Grows to 83 Cosponsors We have exciting news! H.J.R. 54, the We the People Amendment, now has 83 Congressional cosponsors, with four new representatives joining us in April.
Let's welcome Rep. Richard E. Neal from MA-1 (04/10/2024), Rep. Frank Pallone from NJ-6 (04/11/2024), Rep. Shontel M. Brown from OH-11 (04/16/2024), and Rep. Melanie A. Stansbury from NM-1 (04/17/2024).
We can't emphasize enough how crucial your calls and emails to Congress are in building support for this important amendment. Please continue to use our One Click Politics software to contact your representative and urge them to become a cosponsor of H.J.R. 54.
Here are other ways you can contribute to the success of H.J.R. 54
📢 Pledge to Amend: Show Your Commitment One of the most impactful ways to support our cause is by taking the Pledge to Amend. By signing the pledge, you declare your commitment to amending the U.S. Constitution to ensure that corporations and other artificial entities do not have constitutional rights, and that money is not considered speech. You can also share the pledge with friends, family, and community groups to help spread the word.
🌱 Spring & Summer Plans: Get Involved As we enter the warmer months, we have an action-packed schedule ahead. Here's a snapshot of some key events and activities you can participate in:

These events provide opportunities to connect with other supporters, raise awareness, and make a tangible impact. We hope to see you there!
🤝 Other Ways to Get Involved In addition to attending events, here are a few more ways to support Move to Amend:
- Collect Petition Signatures: Help us reach 600,000 signatures by collecting them at community events, farmers' markets, or even online. Get started with a recruiter ID and share it with your network.
- Volunteer: Join our grassroots efforts by volunteering with a local Move to Amend affiliate. From tabling at events to organizing workshops, there's always something you can do to help.
- Donate: As a grassroots-funded organization, we rely on your support. Consider contributing to our May Day for Democracy Spring Fundraising Campaign. Your donations help us organize rallies, host educational workshops, and mobilize supporters.
Thank you for being an essential part of our movement. Together, we can create a more just and equitable society. Let's make this spring and summer count!
