The strength of Move to Amend has always been our people. Across the country, affiliates and advocates are building relationships with elected officials, educating their communities, recruiting new supporters, and growing the movement for the We the People Amendment.

This month, we're celebrating just a few of the many people making a difference.

Advocates Opening Doors in Congress

Meeting with Members of Congress is one of the most powerful ways to advance the We the People Amendment. Recently, longtime advocate Kristina "Stina" Ramanauskas joined fellow volunteers in a productive meeting with the office of Rep. Ro Khanna, helping deepen the conversation about why the We the People Amendment is the comprehensive solution to ending corporate rule.

Every congressional meeting helps build understanding, strengthen relationships, and move our campaign one step closer to success.

Taking the Case for the Amendment to the Public

Advocacy doesn't only happen in the halls of Congress. It also means bringing the case for the We the People Amendment directly into our communities.

We're excited to celebrate Deb for getting her op-ed, “Ending ‘coin-operated democracy’ requires constitutional amendment,” published in Miami Valley Today. By using local media to connect the influence of big money in politics with the need for constitutional change, advocates like Deb are helping introduce the We the People Amendment to new audiences and build the public support necessary to win.

Celebrating Our Pledge to Amend Momentum

Thanks to an incredible wave of candidates signing the Pledge to Amend, we've been busy creating social media graphics to recognize each new We the People Champion.

To date, more than 203 candidates have pledged that, if elected, they will work to advance the We the People Amendment—including 84 candidates from the COURAGE movement, a growing coalition of leaders committed to challenging the influence of big money in politics and putting people first. Together, these candidates represent a powerful and growing movement for real democracy reform.

A special thank you goes to Thalya Paleologu, whose creativity and dedication have helped us celebrate dozens of candidates in recent weeks. Thalya has also been leading efforts to expand the Corporate Power Reset/ Transparent Elections Initiative/ Montana Plan in Florida, demonstrating how volunteers can strengthen democracy both nationally and in their own communities.

Our Coalition Keeps Growing

We're excited to welcome the Voters Legal Justice Watch Group of Birmingham, Alabama, as the newest organization to endorse the We the People Amendment!

With 822 endorsing organizations and counting, our movement continues to grow in strength, reach, and the diversity of communities standing together to challenge corporate rule.

You can help grow that coalition. Reach out to organizations you're already involved with—or groups in your community you'd like to connect with—and invite them to endorse the We the People Amendment. Every new organization brings more people, relationships, and voices into this movement.

Together, we can—and are—building a movement powerful enough to amend the Constitution.
