We the People Wednesday: Make Your Voice Heard!

Our time in Washington, DC has been both inspiring and impactful. We've engaged with key congressional offices, celebrated Juneteenth in Anacostia, and stood firm in our advocacy at the Supreme Court. Now, we need to take our efforts to the next level - but we need your support!

Recap of our time in DC so far...

  • Monday, June 17: Kicked off with an engaging meeting with Rep. Jared Moskowitz (FL-23), followed by strategic visits to priority offices.
  • Tuesday: Illuminating meeting with Congresswoman Robin Kelly’s office (IL-2), where staffer Earl Floor provided invaluable insights.
  • Wednesday: Immersed in the vibrant Juneteenth celebrations in Anacostia, gathering petition signatures and connecting with the community.
  • Thursday: Jennie delivered a powerful speech at the Supreme Court, followed by an encouraging meeting with Ben Owens from Rep. Andrea Salinas’s office (OR-6) and Ryan Hedgepeth from Rep. Carter's Office (LA-02).
  • Friday: Concluded with a determined push, visiting the remaining priority offices and beyond.

Here's where you come in!

We still have one of our national co-directors in DC, ready to meet with more offices and follow up with those we engaged last week. Now is the perfect time to amplify our voice. We had an initial meeting with Representative Schrier's office and are looking forward to an official meeting next week. It would be incredibly impactful if her constituents called this week to voice their support for HJR 54.

Use our One Click Politics software to call your representative and urge them to cosponsor HJR 54, the We the People Amendment. This amendment is crucial for reclaiming our democracy and ensuring that the voices of everyday Americans are heard.

And if you're in the DMV area, there are more ways to take action!
