Veterans For Peace March in MD and DC

Move to Amend is a proud cosponsor of the Veterans for Peace (VFP) historic walk from Maine to Washington, DC.

The walk in now in Maryland. Join the walk for an hour, day or longer if you live anywhere near the route. See the schedule and route HERE.

Among the stated reasons for the VFP walk:

We are walking to expose and address the power of corporations destroying our environment, driving everyday people and communities into more poverty while they reap enormous profits and power. These corporate entities, given more rights than living, breathing people with none of the accountability or responsibility, have hijacked our democratic ability to establish peace, justice and a livable world.

Read and watch why VFP supports the We the People Amendment (including watching the excellent short video “Madmen Arsonists”)

We need to show solidarity for this amazing effort that is, among many connections, making the link between corporate rule and wars, occupations and militarism.

Become a walker. Join our Veterans for Peace brothers and sisters who are putting their bodies on the line for Peace & Justice, Planet & Democracy.

And, if you can, join the walkers on Friday, July 5 as walkers enter Washington, DC and march to the White House for a rally. If available, let organizers know by checking the “Walk the Walk” box at https://peacewalk2024.org/get-involved/ and filling out the “Anything else you’d like to add?”

Onward in walking for Peace & Justice, Planet & Democracy!
