Near the end of the presentation, Suzanne shared something Abed, whom the delegation met at Aida Refugee Camp, told them:
“I have a problem. Don’t make it your problem. It can’t be your problem because you don’t live here. Go home and fix your own problem.”
That challenge brings us directly back to our work at Move to Amend. By confronting concentrated wealth and power and building a government accountable to people and communities, we can address problems here at home that have consequences far beyond our borders.
