Move to Amend Stands in Solidarity at the Hands Off and Defend the Students, Let Gaza Live

At Move to Amend, we know that the fight to restore power to the people cannot happen in isolation. It’s a fight that intersects with the struggles of various movements pushing for justice in this country and around the world. This is why we were proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with thousands of passionate activists in Washington, D.C., at the recent Hands Off protest and the subsequent Defend the Students, Let Gaza Live March.

These actions were not just demonstrations against specific policies but were powerful statements about the deep-seated injustice that corporate control perpetuates across our political system. From the attacks on students' rights to protest to funding genocide to the ongoing attacks on reproductive rights, it is clear that corporate rule fuels injustice and inequality.

A March with Meaning

The turnout at these protests was nothing short of inspiring. Thousands of individuals—united in their determination to demand justice—filled the streets, creating a sea of voices that echoed the demand for change. The Hands Off protest, aimed at protecting women’s reproductive rights, was a testament to the unwavering dedication of activists who refuse to accept the status quo. Shortly after, the Defend the Students, Let Gaza Live march demonstrated the unshakable solidarity of those who stand against the ongoing genocide in Gaza, connecting the fight for Palestinian liberation to the broader struggle against corporate-backed military-industrial complexes.

We were there not only to support but to connect with others who understand the importance of dismantling corporate rule. Our co-directors participated in the marches, engaged with fellow activists, and exchanged ideas with leaders of other grassroots movements. It was a reminder that the fight for a better world is a collective one, and when we stand together, we amplify our voices.

Meeting with Movement Leaders

One of the most meaningful aspects of our participation was the opportunity to meet incredible activists and leaders. From people who are on the frontlines of climate justice to those advocating for the rights of refugees, it was a chance to network, share experiences, and forge new connections. These conversations weren’t just exchanges of ideas—they were opportunities to strategize, to learn from one another, and to build bridges between movements. We are all connected by the common cause of challenging the forces that prioritize corporate profits over human dignity.

We are particularly excited to continue collaborating with these activists as we expand the reach of the We the People Amendment. We know that the struggle for the amendment is part of a larger, interconnected fight against corporate dominance. Together, we will amplify the power of the people and work to ensure that our voices are no longer drowned out by the wealth of a few.

Photos Speak Louder Than Words

We captured some powerful images throughout these protests that speak volumes about the size, energy, and spirit of the crowds. From the sea of banners, signs, and chants to the diverse faces of those who joined us in solidarity, these images remind us that the fight for justice is bigger than any one of us—it is a movement of many, united in purpose.

What’s Next?

The road ahead is long, but moments like these—where we stand together, united in our struggles—reinforce our belief that change is possible. By continuing to build alliances with other movements and advocating for policies like the We the People Amendment, we will challenge corporate power at every level.

We are more determined than ever to see a world where people, not corporations, hold the power. We’re proud to stand in solidarity with everyone who is fighting for justice—whether it’s fighting for Palestine, women's rights, or the restoration of our democracy.

Let’s keep pushing forward, together.
