Can you leaflet & petition on Super Tuesday to end corporate rule?

You live in one of 16 places that will vote on March 5, “Super Tuesday, the day when the greatest number of states and territories hold their political election primaries or caucuses.

Please consider spending an hour or so at a polling location to hand out leaflets and collect signatures on the Move to Amend petition.

The leaflet states, “We need to elect better representatives. But we also need to expand the growing peoples’ movement to end corporate constitutional rights by enacting HJR54, the We the People Amendment.”

Our petition declares, “We the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court’s Citizen United ruling and other related cases, and move to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.”

If you're willing and able to leaflet and petition for any amount of time:

√ Download, copy and cut the leaflet (there are 4 to a single sheet).

√ Download the Move to Amend petition and copy (there are 4 spaces for names per page).

√ If possible, put petitions on two clipboards (to be able to collect two signatures at once) and bring a couple of extra pens.

√ At the polling place, only approach voters AFTER they’ve voted. Many people don’t want to be solicited before they vote.

√ Make sure to stay outside the legal distance from the polling entrance.

√ Be respectful when approaching people (i.e. maybe ask “Have you had a chance to sign the petition to reverse Citizen United, get big money out of politics and end corporate personhood?” while offering them a flyer. If they stop and accept the flyer, give them a few moments to look at is, then ask if they would like to sign the petition (note, more than 500,000 already have!). You might also let them know that there are 78 co-sponsors in Congress for the HJR54, the We the People Amendment.

√ Scan and email to [email protected] or mail to the address below any collected signatures.

If you have any questions, please email [email protected].

Thank you for considering helping us build the movement to end corporate rule and the corruption of the influence of big money in elections!
