This month we’re thrilled to shine a light on two inspiring Affiliates who are carrying the Move to Amend mission forward in their communities.
Sacramento Area – Dawn Wolfson
On September 21, Dawn Wolfson represented Move to Amend at the Sacramento Climate Justice Festival in Cesar Chavez Plaza. Dawn’s table became a hub for action: while only a handful of petition signatures were gathered, 27 people wrote postcards to their Representatives — powerful, personal messages that we’ll be mailing directly to Congress. Dawn even covered the cost of the table herself and collected a donation. That’s real commitment! Her passion and persistence show how even small numbers can spark meaningful political pressure.
Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Kiki & Team
Meanwhile in Tuscaloosa, our newest Affiliate, Kiki, brought Move to Amend to the city’s Pride Festival. Despite the unbearable heat, their team collected multiple petition signatures and connected with community members full of energy for change.

Among them was Shane Weaver (below), the outspoken Democratic candidate for House District 4 (currently held by Rep. Robert Aderholt).

Shane not only signed our petition on the spot — he has now also signed the Pledge to Amend, committing to use his office, if elected, to advance the We the People Amendment. With bold local leaders stepping forward, Tuscaloosa is quickly becoming a hotspot for grassroots democracy work.

🎭 Looking Ahead: No Kings 2
Kiki and the Tuscaloosa team are also gearing up for No Kings 2, an upcoming cultural and political festival amplifying voices against corporate rule.

👏 A huge thank you to Dawn, Kiki, and all our Affiliates who show that passion, persistence, and personal outreach are what drive this movement forward. Whether it’s five signatures, fourteen, or twenty-seven postcards — every action builds momentum toward a future where We the People have the final say.
