How I've supported Move to Amend

  • CIVICS TALK! The Constitution is a group project - and you're invited!

Join the Ultimate Civics team – Riki Ott and Lauren Smith – and Move to Amend for our first “CIVICS TALK,” a lively conversation on participatory democracy and constitutional learning.

Together, we'll share ideas for bringing the free, project-based Ultimate Civics curriculum to young people, educators, libraries, and community organizations. We'll also explore how Move to Amend affiliates can host engaging Constitution-focused activities that move beyond simply studying democracy to actively practicing it.

    Come ready to:

    • Discover fun, action-oriented civics lessons.
    • Brainstorm ways to connect with local educators and youth groups.
    • Imagine youth-led projects that bring democracy to life.

Whether you're an educator, organizer, parent, student, or simply passionate about building a democracy that works for everyone, your creativity and experience belong at the table.

Bring your ideas. Bring your curiosity. Bring a friend. Let's make engaging in democracy and learning about the Constitution bold, participatory, and impossible to ignore!

We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling and other related cases, and move to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.

  • A Conversation with Suzanne O'Shea: Reflections from the West Bank

Please join us for a conversation with Suzanne O'Shea about her recent visit to the Palestinian West Bank.

    RSVP BELOW

Suzanne will share her experiences, key takeaways, and reflections from the visit. We'll also explore how the experience connects with the Move to Amend mission to challenge corporate rule, defend human rights, and build a democracy that serves people and communities.

As a member of the Move to Amend Law and Research Committee, this conversation will provide an important perspective on the relationship between law, concentrated power, and democratic accountability.
