Welcome to another week of #WeThePeopleWednesdays, where we unite our voices to advocate for H.J.R. 54, the We the People Amendment!
This initiative is all about mobilizing our grassroots movement to demand that our Representatives support a constitutional amendment that clarifies that corporations do not have constitutional rights and that money is not speech. Each Wednesday, we rally together to take action, share updates, and amplify our collective impact.
THANK YOU to all our incredible volunteers who dedicate their time each week to call their Representatives! Your commitment to advocating for HJR 54 is vital to our movement. Every call you make helps amplify our message and brings us one step closer to our goal. Together, we’re making waves! 🌊
With 87 cosponsors already supporting HJR 54, we’re just 13 away from reaching our target of 100 by the end of this legislative session. This milestone represents a significant shift in our political landscape—a shift toward restoring the voice of the people over corporate interests.
Here’s how you can continue to make an impact this week:
1. Call Your Representatives:
If you haven’t yet, or even if you have, please use our One Click Politics tool to connect with your Representative. It’s quick and easy! Your voice is powerful. Tell them why supporting HJR 54 is essential for ensuring that corporations don’t have Constitutional rights and that money doesn’t dictate our elections. Every call adds to the pressure we need!
2. Engage with Candidates:
As election season heats up, use this opportunity to get all candidates for local, state, and federal office to take the Pledge to Amend. The Pledge reads: "I support amending the U.S. Constitution to make clear that corporations and other artificial entities do not have Constitutional rights, and that money is not speech and campaign spending should be limited through regulation." Our goal is to secure 1000 Pledge to Amend signups—ideally at least 50% of candidates elected on election day. This will help make the We the People Amendment a central issue in the elections.
3. Support Us with a Donation
Move to Amend operates 100% on grassroots support. Your contributions directly enable our work towards meaningful change. Consider making a donation to support our mission.
The need for change is urgent, and your involvement can be a game-changer. Thank you for your commitment and support!
With love and determination,
