Two More Members of Congress Join the We the People Amendment!

We’re starting September with some great news:

Two more members of Congress have signed on as cosponsors of the We the People Amendment (H.J.Res. 54)!

On August 31, Rep. Melanie Stansbury (NM-1) and Rep. Nanette Barragán (CA-44) officially joined the growing list of congressional cosponsors committed to ending corporate constitutional rights and the doctrine that money spent to influence elections is protected speech.

This is what building momentum looks like.

Every new cosponsor brings us another step closer to the congressional support necessary to send the We the People Amendment to the states for ratification.

And it happens because people keep organizing, educating, contacting Congress, and refusing to accept a political system dominated by corporations and concentrated wealth.
