Labor Day Monday, September 7: Stand With Workers—and Bring the Amendment With You!

This Labor Day weekend, we're encouraging Move to Amend supporters to show up at union, worker, and Labor Day events in your community and help make the connection between workers' rights and the fight to abolish corporate constitutional rights.
Organized labor has been a powerful force for working-class dignity and rights throughout our history. Today, corporations and wealthy interests wield enormous political power—including through the money they pour into our political system.
We may never outspend them. But together, we can out-organize them.
We've created a printable Move to Amend Labor Day flyer that you can bring to events, share with workers and organizers, and use to start conversations about the We the People Amendment (H.J.Res. 54).

Monday, September 14: A Conversation with Suzanne O'Shea — Reflections from the West Bank
Join Suzanne O'Shea, a member of Move to Amend's Law and Research Committee, for a conversation about her recent visit to the Palestinian West Bank.

Suzanne will share her experiences, key takeaways, and reflections from the visit. We'll also explore how those experiences intersect with questions of law, concentrated power, human rights, and democratic accountability—and how they connect with Move to Amend's broader mission.

SEPTEMBER 17: WHO WANTS TO BE A BILLIONAIRE?

How well do you know the U.S. Constitution?
Join Move to Amend on Constitution Day for “Who Wants to Be a Trillionaire?” — a lively, game-show-style event where every question puts your constitutional knowledge to the test.
We'll celebrate Constitution Day, learn a few things, share some laughs — and take a closer look at a political system where corporations and billionaires wield outsized influence over our government.
Thursday, September 17, 2026 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET Online via Zoom

Bring your friends, your sense of humor, and your best constitutional expertise.
No trillionaire status required!

SEPTEMBER 24: THE CONSTITUTION IS A GROUP PROJECT

Then let's take the conversation one step further.
On September 24, join the Ultimate Civics team — Riki Ott and Lauren Smith — and Move to Amend leaders for our first CIVICS TALK, a conversation about participatory democracy, constitutional learning, and giving the next generation the tools to become active participants in shaping their communities and government.
Together, we'll explore how to bring the free, project-based Ultimate Civics curriculum to young people, educators, libraries, and community organizations.
We'll also brainstorm ways Move to Amend affiliates and supporters can create activities that move beyond simply studying democracy to actively practicing it.

Come ready to:
Discover fun, action-oriented approaches to civics education.
Brainstorm ways to connect with educators, students, libraries, and youth organizations.
Imagine youth-led projects that bring democracy to life.
Explore how constitutional education can help people recognize that We the People have the power to change our Constitution.
