That makes right now a great time to bring the We the People Amendment (H.J.Res. 54) directly to the people elected to represent you.
Call their local office. Ask about a town hall. Request an in-district meeting. And ask them to support the constitutional amendment that would make clear that constitutional rights belong to human beings, not corporations, and money is not protected political speech.
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AUGUST RECESS
Congress is home — bring the movement to them.
→ Find your U.S. Representative and their local district office
→ Find your Senators and their in-state offices
→ Find a town hall or call the local office to ask about upcoming public events
Then call the nearest office and ask:
“When is the member’s next town hall, listening session, or constituent meeting — and will they support the We the People Amendment?”
Even if you can't meet directly with your member of Congress, meeting with congressional staff matters. Staff meetings help educate offices, build relationships, and demonstrate organized constituent support for the amendment.
TAKE ACTION TODAY: Ask Congress to Support the We the People Amendment
|
|
If your Representative has not yet cosponsored H.J.Res. 54, ask them to become a cosponsor.
And don't forget your Senators.
We are working to secure a lead Senate sponsor to introduce the We the People Amendment in the Senate. Constituent outreach during recess can help us identify potential champions and demonstrate that people across the country want action.
Ask your Senators to meet with constituents and champion the We the People Amendment in the Senate.

ELECTIONS ARE COMING — ASK CANDIDATES TO PLEDGE TO AMEND
August Recess isn't our only opportunity.
As the 2026 elections draw closer, candidates across the country are asking voters for their support. We should be asking those candidates where they stand on corporate rule and money in politics.
Our Pledge to Amend asks candidates to commit to using their office, if elected, to advance the We the People Amendment.
Find the candidates running to represent your community. Attend candidate forums, town halls, campaign events, and community meetings. Contact their campaigns and ask candidates across the political spectrum to take the Pledge to Amend.
|
|
Today's candidates could become tomorrow's Representatives, Senators, state legislators, mayors, and other public officials. Let's find out now whether they're prepared to stand with We the People.
|
|
There are many ways to contribute to this movement — whether you have a few minutes to contact Congress, a few hours to meet with an elected official, or want to organize candidates and community members where you live.
THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE
Before August Recess ends, take at least ONE action:
-
Contact your Representative and ask them to cosponsor H.J.Res. 54.
- Contact your Senators and ask them to champion the We the People Amendment.
-
Request an in-district meeting while Congress is still home.
- Attend a town hall or other congressional event in your community.
-
Ask a candidate running in your community to Pledge to Amend.
August Recess is running out. Let's make these remaining days count.
Every call, meeting, town hall question, and candidate pledge helps demonstrate that people across the country are demanding a government accountable to We the People — not corporations and concentrated wealth.
Congress will soon return to Washington.
Before they do, let's make sure they hear from us at home.

P.S.
Move to Amend is 100% grassroots funded. Every meeting we hold, every organizer we train, every congressional office we visit, and every new supporter we reach is made possible by people like you. If you're able, please make a contribution to help us continue building the movement to pass the We the People Amendment.
