Gerrymandering severely handicaps citizens’ rights to determine the policies they want for their communities. This Thursday, Katy Shanahan, the Ohio Director of ALL on the Line, a national effort to end gerrymandering, will discuss the consequences of the corrupt practice in Ohio, the successful people’s pushback against it, and how the reforms we won will be implemented in future elections. Ms. Shanahan will also introduce Redistricting U, a program designed to empower citizens seeking to ensure fair redistricting maps.

This one-hour session is part of Move to Amend’s “Speaking of Democracy” series that dives into local issues and concerns. All are welcomed to join.
