Something powerful is stirring.

Across the country — from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon — people are organizing, gathering, and reclaiming the promise of democracy. On October 18, we’ll come together for No Kings Day 2.0, a nationwide day of action to assert:

We the People — ALL the people — will not be ruled by corporations, billionaires, or would-be kings.

This moment calls for courage.

And the stakes couldn’t be clearer.

Just in the past few weeks, Donald Trump has ordered federal troops into U.S. cities to suppress protest, convened an extraordinary closed-door meeting with the War Department’s top brass and Fox host Pete Hegseth, and declared his intent to “take direct control” of agencies that exist to serve the people.

This is what authoritarianism looks like — and it’s happening right now on our soil.

But here’s the thing: democracy doesn’t die quietly, and it doesn’t die when the people are awake.

We’ve been here before. Every expansion of democracy — from abolition, to women’s suffrage, to civil rights — came because ordinary people refused to accept elite rule. That’s what No Kings Day is all about: building a movement for real democracy, justice, and a living planet rooted in We the People, not We the Corporations.

Move to Amend’s vision is bold: a Constitution that puts human rights, community, and the Earth above profit and power. The We the People Amendment (HJR54) is our blueprint to end corporate personhood and money-as-speech once and for all.
