15th Anniversary of the Monahan Walk Across the US (Education Fund)

A volunteer has made a donation of $10,000 to celebrate the key role Robin and Laird played in launching the movement to amend the US Constitution.  Let’s make this $15,000 or even $20,000.

Consider donating $15 in honor of their protest of Citizens United v FEC

Celebration Event

DATE: Sunday, November 2

TIME:  2 - 4 pm

PLACE: East Side Freedom Library, 1105 Greenbrier St, Saint Paul, MN 55106

In January of 2010, the Citizens United v. FEC Supreme Court decision expanded the voice of corporate personhood. Since then, money as speech has drowned out the voices of real human beings working on issues that directly impact their lives.

". . . corporations have no consciences, no beliefs, no feelings, no thoughts, no desires. Corporations help structure and facilitate the activities of human beings, to be sure, and their 'personhood' often serves as a useful legal fiction. But they are not themselves members of “We the People” by whom and for whom our Constitution was established."  ~Supreme Court Justice Stevens, January 2010

To raise awareness of this disastrous decision and as ambassadors for Move to Amend, Laird and Robin Monahan set off across the country in May 2010.  On October 20 they arrived in Washington DC. Consider giving $15 in honor of the 15th Anniversary. All donations of any amount will be appreciated.
