'Occupy' Activist Rally at LI Federal Courthouse
A handful of demonstrators picketed outside the federal courthouse in Central Islip on Friday morning to protest a landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling that legalized unlimited corporate spending in election campaigns.
Activist Wants Supreme Court Decision on Corporate Donations Overturned
In Endicott Friday night, speaker David Cobb of Move to Amend, spoke of the implications of The U.S.Supreme Court's "Citizen United" ruling.
In it, the high court decided that corporations may donate unlimited amounts of money to political candidates, as a form of free speech.

"Move to Amend" Tours Through Binghamton
Endicott, N.Y. (WBNG Binghamton) A national coalition that wants to amend the constitution is looking for some local help.
Move to Amend is trying to end what it calls corporate constitutional rights and make sure those with more money don't get more political say.
People gathered at the Endicott Visitor Center Friday to talk, sing and listen.
David Cobb, a national spokesman for the organization, spoke about his reasons for joining the group and what he would like to see changed in the future.
