Workers May Day

On this International Workers Day (AKA May Day), Move to Amend stands in solidarity with all workers of the world in the ongoing struggle against corporate rule.

The #WeThePeopleAmendment is more important than ever to workers and the labor movement. Share the Move to Amend petition with your fellow workers today so we can grow the movement to end corporate constitutional rights once and for all!

Corporations are invoking their constitutional rights to crush workers ALL the time:

  • We all remember California's Prop 22 last November, which stripped gig workers of their most basic rights. It was the most expensive ballot campaign in U.S. history, funded by Uber and their counterparts -- and it would never have been possible if corporations did not have constitutional protection under the 1st Amendment.

  • Large agricultural corporations are also flexing their 5th Amendment rights before the Supreme Court as we speak -- in hopes of overturning a law that allows labor organizers to speak to their workers. You can read more about that case here.

  • And we may soon see how the Pro Act -- arguably the most empowering and protective piece of labor legislation any of us have seen in our lifetimes -- is vulnerable to lawsuits and gutting, once corporations inevitably find a way to claim it violates their constitutional rights.

Thank you for helping us make the connections that will grow and strengthen the movement against corporate rule!

Solidarity forever!
