Corporations are not people.
Money is not speech

Learn how Lakewoodites are coming together to take back our nation’s democracy and signal our opposition to the Supreme Court’s disastrous Citizens United decision.

As part of the national Move to Amend effort, we’re launching a petition drive to put an initiative on the November 2014 ballot stating that Lakewood voters want our state and federal representatives to support an amendment to the U.S. Constitution clarifying that corporations are not people and money is not speech.

Join us to learn about our effort, sign a petition and/or volunteer.

“We The People” Day will include:
An open and spirited Q&A with:
- U.S. Representative Marcy Kaptur
- State Representative Nickie Antonio
- Lakewood City Councilman at Large Tom Bullock
- Corporate Personhood Expert Greg Coleridge of the American Friends Service Committee

The fun of participatory democracy
