Help MN lead the Move to Amend the U.S. Constitution!

April 9, 2013

Now, after 3 senate and 2 house committee hearings, the We the People Act, introduced by Senator John Marty and Representative Ray Dehn, is poised for floor votes in the Minnesota legislature!  The We the People Act is the first state resolution to incorporate Move to Amend’s language which unequivocally states that money is NOT speech and that corporations are NOT entitled to constitutional rights.

Here’s how you can help Minnesota lead the nation in the Move To Amend:

1. Join us at 11AM, Wednesday, April 24, for a lobby day in the capitol (in the Great Hall located directly below the governor's office, west side of the building).

2. If you can’t join us in St. Paul, call or e-mail your legislators by April 25th and ask them to support the We the People Act when it comes to the floor for a vote.
Contact info for your legislator:

3. Invite family and friends to join the effort by forwarding this e-mail to them!

Sample language for your call/e-mail:

Dear Representative/Senator __________________,

As your constituent, I urge you to vote in favor of the We the People [SF 17/HF 276] that calls on Congress to amend the U.S. Constitution to establish that money is NOT speech and that corporations are not entitled to constitutional rights.

This will be an important step to restore democracy to the people.

Thanks for your continued support!
