Affiliate & Advocate Spotlight - April 2026

Across the country, Move to Amend affiliates and volunteers continue to do the kind of work that rarely makes headlines—but is essential to building a movement capable of lasting change. It’s happening in community meetings, at public hearings, in conversations with neighbors, and in the steady expansion of a coalition that understands the root of the problem.

In March, that coalition grew stronger with two new endorsing organizations joining the movement: the Northern Colorado Alliance for a Livable Future and the Florida Transparent Election Initiative. Their endorsement reflects something we’re seeing more and more—people and organizations recognizing that issues like environmental protection, fair elections, and economic justice are all connected by the same underlying structure of corporate power and big money in politics.

That connection is also taking shape in Minnesota, where organizers are advancing what they’re calling the Corporate Re-Set—a state-level effort aligned with the broader Transparent Election Initiative, sometimes referred to as the Montana Plan. At a recent resolution hearing, community members offered testimony making the case for reining in corporate political power at the state level. These efforts don’t replace the need for a constitutional amendment—but they help open the door, shifting what feels possible and building momentum where people live.

At the same time, that momentum is showing up in the streets. During the No Kings #3 Day of Action, volunteers in places like Pensacola and Tuscaloosa brought Move to Amend’s message directly into their communities. Whether through tabling, holding signs, or simply starting conversations, these moments matter. They connect the dots for people—between what they’re experiencing in their daily lives and the larger system of corporate rule shaping it.

We know this kind of work is happening in communities across the country. But too often, it goes unseen beyond the local level.

That’s why we’re asking affiliates and volunteers to take a few minutes each month to submit the Monthly Affiliate Report Form. These updates help us lift up your work, share lessons across the network, and show the growing strength of this movement as a whole.

This is how we build—not all at once, but together, and over time.
