As we reflect on 2025, one truth stands out clearly: this was not a normal year—and the challenges we face demand systemic solutions.
Across the country and around the world, people confronted deepening crises: unchecked corporate power, rising authoritarianism, accelerating climate devastation, economic precarity, and political systems increasingly unresponsive to the will of the people.

These challenges did not emerge by accident. They are the predictable result of a system that grants corporations constitutional rights and allows concentrated wealth to dominate our democracy.
In this moment, Move to Amend did what it has always done best: we named the root cause—and we organized.
Because of you, the We the People Amendment (H.J.Res. 54) was reintroduced in Congress and continues to gain momentum. Hundreds of thousands took action as affiliates and organizers hosted events, led public education, produced publications, and brought people together through webinars, the Eco-Net, the Labor Caucus, and the Law & Research Committee—strengthening a people-powered movement nationwide.
Our 2025 Annual Report tells that story—but more importantly, it points to what comes next.
In 2026, the Declaration of Independence from Corporate Rule will guide Move to Amend’s national work, connecting historic reflection with present-day action at a pivotal moment for our democracy—grounded in the belief that a democracy that works for all people has yet to be fully realized, and must now be built, together.
This framework brings together interconnected initiatives that strengthen long-term movement building in service of our core mission to pass the We the People Amendment (H.J.Res. 54):
