The Board of Supervisors will Consider our Ballot Initiative on July 24

July 6, 2012

On Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in Mendocino County, a citizen’s initiative will be considered by the Board of Supervisors whether to place it on the November ballot or not.

This initiative is designed to make a clear statement to our legislators in Sacramento and DC that the Citizens of Mendocino County are ready for an amendment to the Constitution that gives only Natural Person rights, and excludes corporations from personhood rights in order to end corporate rule and defend Democracy.  The initiative will also declare that money is NOT speech.

Join us at 9am in the Chambers of the BOS on Tuesday, July 24, to encourage the Supes to put the citizen’s initiative on the November ballot.  Then come election day in November, I hope you will all join us in voting in favor of An Advisory Measure to End Corporate Rule and Defend Democracy, and send a clear message to our government that it is time for a paradigm shift from Plutocracy to Rule by We the People.
