    We are going to Chicago Aug 19-22. As we prepare for the 2024 Democratic National Convention, we at Move to Amend are eager to strategize and plan impactful actions that will amplify our mission and message. Your input and ideas are crucial to making our efforts successful, and we would love for you to join us in this process.

    We are hosting weekly brainstorming and planning Zoom calls every Tuesday until the DNC to discuss our actions and coordinate our efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for us to come together, share ideas, and ensure a powerful presence at this significant event.

    Our “democracy” isn’t aging well

    There are growing problems with what we call our democratic republic. They go far beyond the concerns of a majority of voters over the mental and physical “fitness” of the aging Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

    We've never had an authentic democracy or democratic republic since the founding of our nation. However, our institutional democracy has become increasingly deaf, blind, forgetful, confused and immobile.

  • Nobody is coming to save us

    The political landscape is shifting rapidly. Just last month, the Presidential debate dominated headlines, but recent events have shifted our focus to more urgent issues. This email was originally about last month's Presidential debate in Atlanta, but so much has happened in our political circus since then that it seems irrelevant to the current conversations taking place. However, the intended message remains the same: this election and these recent Supreme Court decisions have laid bare to the average voter the sorry state our so-called democracy finds itself in.

    It has become clear that no part of our duopoly, whether Republican or Democrat, is coming to save us from the menace of political corruption and capitalist profiteering. And so, we must come to save ourselves.

    The Republican National Convention (RNC) concludes tonight. The Democratic National Convention (DNC) takes place next month.

    The four-day assemblies officially anoint their respective presidential and vice-presidential nominees, present speakers to inspire delegates and those watching to support their campaigns, provide delegates (including current elected officials) opportunities to connect with others in their state and beyond, and serve up plenty of convention hoopla.
