Challenging Corporations and Creating Democracy: A Grass roots organizing training with David Cobb of Move to Amend.
 
This participatory workshop will give you an introduction to the tools needed to challenge the corporate control of our political, economic and legal institutions and help to make the promise of democracy a reality in the United States.
 
At the core of this training is an examination into the historic underpinings of "corporate personhood" and the growing movement calling for a constitutional amendment to abolish this odious legal doctrine.
At the end of this training, participants will:

1) Understand the strategy and goals of the Move to Amend campaign

2) Better understand the concept of Corporate Personhood and how to explain it to others in their community to involve more people in their group and movement

3) Be ready to organize with the Move to Amend affiliate group in their community or start a new group in their town.
