It's the moment you've been waiting for: The official launch of Salt Lake City Move to Amend!

After much wrangling, our application for a city-wide ballot initiative was accepted. Our battle to pass a resolution calling for an amendment abolishing corporate rights and money in elections is going forward! Now we have to buckle down and collect 9,000 signatures in two months to get our resolution to the voters in November.

So please join us on Wednesday, February 15th from 6-9 pm at the Main library to get moving on this vital issue. We will be doing an overview of corporate rule and the Move to Amend campaign. After that, we'll be training people on canvassing and hitting the streets.

At future meetings, we will organize into working groups on everything from media to street theater and start getting the job done! We need lots of people at the launch so we have lots of people pounding the pavement.

So come and bring lots of friends and get ready to be inspired.
